Few questions? I have a 2014 242 limited. Does anyone do their own maintenance? It's always been maintained by the Yamaha dealer we bought it from. I am mechanically inclined and can do the work, but what does a summer start up consist of?

What are you pissed about Mike Crawford? I have 2 motors and winterization in TX...consists of putting it on the lift and blowing the water out of the engines....the question had nothing to do with winterization...it was for "what does a summer start up" an all that I posted should take a bit over an hour
THE LINK THAT I PUT ON HERE WAS FOR WINTERIZATION AND THE SUMMER START UP, I ALWAY TYPE BIG,LOL BAD EYES
Get magnifiers like me...all caps means yelling...and many do not appreciate it, and may take it the wrong way if they don't know you personally...just a suggestion
DULY NOTED SUGGESTION BUT I WILL STICK WITH UPPER CASE AND APPALIGIZE TO THE SENSITIVE MEN ON HERE SINCE THIS IS MAYBE THE SECOND TIME IN SEVERAL YEARS THAT SOMEONE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE BIG LOUD LETTERS. AND I KNEW THEY MIGHT CONSTRUED AS YELLING, Dave Zembek
As for the 2015 AR192 service manual....I would just keep looking on line for one, .. here is a 2013 http://www.yamaha-motor.com/assets/service/manuals /2013/LIT-18626-09-86_2113.pdf
Far as I know, nothing really is different
Douglas Montgomery...you live in the south...no real winterization needed...just make sure to blow water out....If you are like me, I am not beyond taking her out in Jan of Feb on nice days, so when you do your "summer start up" it can be anytime really...lol Had mine out several times this year and have yet to do all my normal maintenance. maybe next week...One more thing...go with the iridium plugs..I usually try to push a couple seasons on them, unless I notice a performance drop...
Y'all, please be respectful of each other... There are lots of people in this group, with different ways of doing things... All of us old time boat owners maybe set in our ways, but that does not make one way of doing things, necessary better than someone elses... Please keep all replies helpful and civil
