Hey guys, I have an 09 fz6r and would like to know what my options are when it comes to after market exhausts, do I need to get a full exhaust or are there ways to fabricate around it?

  • You need a full system, reason why I still have stock, it's too expensive and would rather sell the bike and upgrade to a true super sport than lay another grand into this bike.

  • You can do r6 headers and a slip on.

There is also another option that John Patrick Moden (I think) has

  • I have the same bike with no pc and i put on 99 r6 headers you have to have them bent i bent mine with a hammer they work just fine and no loss of power i changed mine and with a new slip on for 80$ or less and 1 hour of work time

  • I used the Marthy solution.

Cut, welded, attached the pipe myself. Kit came with a Delkavic exhaust.

    Otherwise maybe TBR

  • i got the full exhaust with two brothers canister sounds great. cost abouy $1300 au

  • Did you have to heat them up?

  • DONT DO TBR FULL SYSTEM! I DID IT FOR MINE AND REGRET IT. WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR SOMETHING THAT CAN BE FABBED UP FOR $500 TOPS

  • I have a Marthy Delkevic Exhaust brand new still in the box if anyone is interested

  • Nathan Lajoie how much? And what do I have to do to install it? I'm not familiar with that exhaust

  • $350 and I'll throw in Driven Block Off Plates with it. I have the install directions. It comes with an adapter so you're basically cutting the stock exhaust from the weld at the catalytic converter off and then welding the adapter on to the headers and the exhaust onto the adapter. The instructions lay it all out with pics and if you know a shop or an individual who can weld then it would be a super easy job for them
