Would this work for cleaning carbs?

  • I would try it on a small item first. From what I have read soda blasting is good for aluminum. Not sure about blocking ports though! I boiled mineral in water over again and blasted them with compressed air. However I think Chris Punk Rogers maybe correct.

  • Don't you hate it when science gets in the way of a great idea.

    Thanks anyway guys.

  • If you could find something made of a metal more reactive than Ali it could work then.

  • Copper?

  • I'm pretty sure that's less reactive. I think it might have to be magnesium.

  • You're right Chris!

  • I don't know where you'd get magnesium put it's probably easier just to pay some one to ultrasonically clean it for you.

  • Thanks for your help here guys.

  • On my RD350, I boiled mine on the stove in water. It actually worked really well. It didn't work the first time, but that was my fault because I didn't remove the jet tube in the middle.
