    • paps ala me dalang oil dahil meron nmn sila kya bago ko iniwan ung mc bumili n muna me ng oil sa kanila tas umalis ako binalikan kunalang. pag blik ko ok n daw kaya nag bayad n ako at umalis. pero hnd ko agad nramdaman na walang oil. sabi nga ng tropa ko n mekaniko din nka cromebore daw ang sniper kaya hnd basta titirik.... pero etong huli nramdaman ko na mkunat n ung takbo parang hnd maganda kaya nag p check n me ng mutor at dun nga nlaman n walang oil....

    • I've always loved the look of the R1. Besides that, I know I don't need a liter. Realistically probably wouldn't own one, but money comes into that argument more than practicality.

    • I am leaning toward a big cruiser bike next (possibly the Boulevard). I love sports bikes and yes, a litre bike would be great and awesome to ride for what they are (something the author forgot to mention) every bike have their pro's and con's. Stay upright!

    • No, I'm afraid that I may abuse the power available from a liter bike. I like the R1's with the cross plane crankshaft cuz I love the sound. I want the model with TC to help me out. Like Matthew said, it's really a money issue for me. Otherwise, I would get a Panigale!

Ayer le puse unas punteras a la moto(la terminacion cromada en las puntas de los manillares), el tema que me tocaba con el acelerador y bueno, tube que andar probando aver si volvia bien el puño, muchas veces lo acelere, y empezo a chorrear nafta por abajo, dije bueno, la ahogue, y cuando la prendo ahora me hace un ruido como de valvulas, cla cla cla cla, antes no hacia ni un ruidito !! Cague algo ?

    • Arthur Amaral as I explained already in this post, the bags are late pan head/shovelhead. I used the factory HDmounts welded to the star sissybar mount plates. I made the rear stabilization bar and added lights. If you are using the stock exhaust I think the bags will set too high too high.

    New paint,all metal parts powder coated(forks will be made black),ohlims fork springs,wezzmoto front and rear brake lines,new short Y wind screen,change of cracked carb manifolds,change of left side fork tube,change of handlebar switches(mainly the fainted buttons),fat bars,lsl crash mushrooms and grips,and handlebar lowering kit.

    Just a question you guys...I see some of you cut off or remove entirely the tail.Can you privide some details of how you do it.Also i want to install fork gaitors on my bike.i'm not sure though if it will look nice.Does anyone of you has some pics so i can see how the bike looks?

    • Yung isang batas na balak nila ipatupad isulat sa damit or sa helmet yung plate number ng rider! Parang tanga lang. Anu yun mag papagawa pa ng jacket just to ride our motor! Taeng batas yan! LTO yata gusto mag gawa ng pagawaan ng jacket para pagkakitaan na naman tayo. Yung ICC sticker ng walang kwenta eh. Saka yung helmet. Dapat optional yun eh.     • I was planning on spending at most $1k. I think that's enough for one person, including gas, food and lodging. Or am I wrong? I'm booked from 30th to the 3rd.

Too much nonsense there from both sides IMO As for costs you need to do the math so to speak. 55/83 for the room plus tax(close to 10/day) plus daily gas/food + gas to get there(and maybe trailer) I stated what it cost me earlier and I didn't go out of my way to incur costs but I stayed longer. If you visit the casino it could add/subtract depending on how lucky you get :) Regardless I can 1000% say the trip is worth it. The rides, people and experience are just fantastic. After coming back my wife OK'd the annual expense because I was so different after the trip...

    • Sorry, when I said the biggest one he's got I meant the one with the highest number in micro farad and the highest expected voltage 100uf and 50v would be my choice if it is not too big physically to fit on the bike where you want to mount it. Electrolytics are polarity sensitive.

    These are the last few bikes I owned. I had bought a 3CV with the same color scheme as the one I have now. Crashed it and broke the fairing. Looking into the cost of all the repairs, my wife (bless her heart) suggested we find another FJ while I repair the 1st one. Then, when repaired, sell the old one. Of course I jumped right on that. The midnite blue one was purchased in Pasadena on New Years Eve of all days.

    I repaired the 1st FJ and sold her for what I paid. She had over 200k miles and was lighting quick, fastest FJ I have ever owned. Now I have FJ#2 (midenight blue) which was the most beautiful FJ (in my opinion) that I have owned, even though she was bone stock.

    Then the house burned down and that was the end of her.

    I then bought the ZZR1200. What a beast of a bike but she had no legs. Handled horribly for the moter she had!!! Not at all what I was looking for and was fooled (again, see my old VFR700 pics) by a pretty face. I looked into mods but decided that was too much skin in the game for the value. Sold her for what I paid and bought the 1200 Bandit.

    note: Somewhere in there, I bought this Magna 750 for peanuts and restored her. I never rode it far as it was just a project. As soon as she was running up to snuff, I sold her for a lot more than I paid. Almost all sweat equity. I only bought a set of carbs and forks to make her pretty.

    Now don't get me wrong, if the FJ was never made, I would have put into this bike what I needed to make her handle but I was never happy with the Bandit. I put in some Progressive springs but was still unhappy with the suspension. Just too twitchy for my tastes. After I bought FJ #3, I sold her.

    So I bought FJ#3 which I own now. She was pretty well set up with the fork brace, the cartridge emulators, the SS lines when I bought her. Carbs were buggered and once I fixed that, the mods started. (thanks for all the info from the fjowners.com forum, a vast amount of info there to do pretty much anything to your FJ that you can imagine) First the front brakes, then the rear GSXR wheel, then the Penske. I have to say, even though the motor is bone stock, this bike, with me on it, would beat any other of these hands down on the track, let alone the street. The handling makes that much of a difference. I can even keep the newer sport bikes in sight up the twistiest with my current bike.

    • Hi Craig Ovadia, good read. Funny you mentioned the ZZR. On one of my rides last summer met a rider on a ZZR and we rode from near Mt St Helens to Mt Adams on some of Washington's finest roads. I was expecting the guy to smoke me....not so. In the most technical twistes I was pushing him, on the straights he could get a jump on me, then I would close right up on him when the corners appeared. Like you I spent my upgrade money on suspension and track days. Penske rear and total rebuild of the front end with progressive springs. Would love to convert to GSXR rear wheel, but ABS prevents that. Everyone tells me to ditch the ABS, but it's saved my bacon numerous times on our rainy Pacific Northwest roads. You would also be surprised at how well the XJ's handle for 30 year old bikes. SST #1 has RaceTech front and rear and SST#2 has progressive front and YSS rear. Bridgestone Battlax's help these bikes stayed glued in the twists. Hoping to get my anti-dive leak solved in time to do track days on SST#1 this spring

    • Yeah, the ZZR had one hell of a motor, but couldn't go around the corners to save it's life. Also, it was not that comfy at all. There are 3 bikes that come to mind I would like to ride someday. One is a GTS1000, another is this RZV500 I saw at a local bike show, and one of your Seca 900s, just to see what you have done with them.

    Looking to sell my 2001 Yamaha Warrior. It has nice and bright headlights with LEDS in the front vent of the plastics. There was a Stage 1 hot cam installed about a month ago along with Stage 2 DynoJets.It has the White Brothers E serious exhaust, Moose handlebars and filter along withnew front tires. The only thing really wrong with it is that the case is cracked (J.B. welded closed so it doesn't leak)and the seat is a bit ripped on the side. has new timing chain and comes with DG Nerf Bars and a set of 25x13x9 mud tires that has about 50% tread left on gold rims. Im asking $1,000 obo but i wont go too much lower. just comment on this post or pm me if your interested. Thanks!

    • Tama may code yan, kahit walang nakalagay sa or cr may record pa rin tayo sa LTO kahit itry nyo mga paps itxt nyo status ng motor nyo sa cellphone, nagkataon lang na hindi marunong tumingin ng color coding sa OR CR yung mga yun

    not sure what to do! I have a 85 and had the carbs cleaned 2 yrs ago because the the bike was runnin rough. The job cost me 300 bucks. Last summer i didnt get to ride much because of work. When i did get time last fall the bike was running worse than before i had the carbs done. I had kept seafoam added to the fuel. My carb guy said it will cost me another 300 to go thru them again. The kicker is second gear is all but gone. When i try to gas it in second it just jumps back to netruel. I dont have alot of money to blow right now so do i now own a parts bike? What should i do?

    • Don't part it out. Do a little research. Carbs aren't that hard to do. Second gear popping out is fairly common. It's fixable. Arnie at super cycle in Joplin is real reasonable when it comes to repairs. He has experience with Vmax.

    • Mine was 140Ks restricted. I guess we should really be leaning towards what revs you get at top speed, a more accurate measure. Many years ago speedometers were all set different, you could see people getting stopped for speeding even although their speedo was telling them they were within the limits, mind you back then the cops didnt have an accurate detection method. It was agreed that all speedos must be made to be around 8 - 10% out, meaning when you are showing 100K you will only be doing just over 90, this would eliminate anyone from being chared for speeding through an inaccurate speedo. In the UK the cops still allow 10% before being fines for speeding, so you can drive at 77 in a 70MPH or 55 in a 55MPH before being charged, however they do now allow this for HGV or PSV due to accurate tachographs being fitted.

    • Yep that is how the power is restricted in the fz6r- the amount of available throttle.

      Other manufacturers use a restricted ECU instead.

    • I'd hate to have a crack of a pre 13', I thought my throttle limiter was prohibitive enough!!!!

    HELP! Guys and gals I went to fill up my fuel yesterday and the nozzle popped out and sprayed 100 octane all over my pride and joy. It came of easy on the metal and shiny plastic. However it left this nasty stain on the look alike plastic carbon inserts! What can be done? Tried cleaning is with everything and it won't come off. I figure I will need to replace these inserts?     Hi, did anyone could help me?

    Excuse me for my poor english, I'am french speaking person, I will try to explain my problem with my Virago.

    When the motor is hot after about 1 hour, when I run at iddle, the motor sometimes stop, and after it's very hard to restart.

    Almost of the time I have to boost the batery for starting . the motor. Do you have any idea?

    • These old bikes don't charge much at low rpm's. You got to drive it and get the rpm's up before it charges best.

    latest na pinagkakaabalahan.... dahil loose thread na kick arm ko, E-start muna lagi:)

    Anyway, ito yung full wave system na nakalagay sa blog ni mastercircuits ng MCP:D full wave na Rectifier/regulator lang kelangan at mods ng stator and syempre makalikot na kamay:)

    And ito nman output sa gawa ko, at idle may 14.75VDC papunta sa baterya, pagnirev 14.77VDC nman which is good considering 14.8VDC yung charging voltage cap and lastly ito maganda at idle+parklight+headlight na LED may 14.61VDC parin papuntang baterya.

    100% no lobat unless maubos charge sa kakaestart :D

    So this is no Attitude, but I figure if there is a group I could share this with it would be here. About 4 years back I decided I wanted to give Billy's 2 output system a try but I didn't have the money for an Attitude. But I did have a Fender Jaguar, a DiMarzio Model 1 and a box of tools. So I made it happen! Didn't quite turn out exactly as I had hoped...pics of Billy's P bass looks like he did a much better job than I did! Still sounds really good, I pull it out every once in a while still.

    Totally dug the sound though...had that big woofy low end from the Model 1 just like the Attitude, but the classic Jazz bass tone instead of the P bass style that the Attitude had. Anyone else give something other than a P Bass the Attitude treatment?

    • I added a neck humbucker to a RBX bass and I'm currently putting together a 51 precision type hybrid. Pictures to follow. The Attitude wouldn't have happened if Billy hadn't taken a bass and modified it. :-)

      I put one on my LTD 2, Love it and considering getting one for my LTD 3 but not quite ready to have that bass hacked up just yet.

    • I have two dual output basses other then the Attitude. I added a separate output for the jazz pickup in my old P-bass and built a bass from scratch with a Kahler trem and a sustainer with each pickup to its own out.

    • I'm putting together a bass with dual outputs and a sustainiac. Do you have the Sustainer and the bridge pickup split from another pickup? My plan is for a bartolini MM in the bridge, a Lindy Fralin 51 pbass pickup in the middle with its own output and the sustainiac in the neck position obviously connected with the bridge pickup to another output. Any sound clips Terry?My goal is a bowing type sound on demand with a traditional sound.

    • Nice...I have a standard split P Fralin in my Warmoth bass I put together...super nice pickups.

    Share ko lang poh,

    para duon sa mga may problema sa front fender nila na sumasayad sa tire kapag nag palit ng mags, tires, front shock at disc break nila,.

    ung isang picture sa t-post poh un, nung nagpalit kc ako ng front shock sumayad yung tuka ng fender ko sa tire (pang sporty kc yung shock)

    solution: naglagay lang ako ng nut sa dalawang bolts sa pagitan ng fender at t-post, see picture. problem solve,

    tip: need moh palitan yung 2 bolts ng mas mahaba ng konti duon sa stock na bolts..

    2nd picture, yan naman nung nagpalit ako ng mags, tires at disk break, tatama kasi ung bolts ng disc sa caliper.

    solution: nilagyan namen ng spacer,.see picture.

    tip: may nabibiling stainless bolts na medyo manipis ang ulo compare sa stock na bolts ng disc break. check mine. isa din itong solution sa mga sumasayad ang right part ng fender nila.

    • I found a non-running (wiring issues) '79 XS650 with 16k on the clock and already hardtailed for $600.

    • Yeah, I got pretty lucky finding this donor bike. Both cylinders compression tested @ 150psi, I put a Pamco ignition and PMA charging kit in it and after some minor adjustments, valves and timing it fired up for the first time in 10+ years!!!

    • hehe! Regular wintertemp in the north of scandinavia is -10. This below -20 wil last for a week or two. But its cold on the hands at sea, we use rubbergloves and a thin wool glove inside. We're used to it, but of course the eskimos rules.

    • You should be proud,. When we buy our bikes they all look exactly the same, maybe different colours but under that they are exactly the same. But we as humans like individuality, this is why we custom our bike to suit our selfs so that your bike is not the same as everyone else. We like to change colours, graphics, wheels, exhausts etc etc, the list goes on and on, but we do it to seek individuality. The Ninja looks quite good, bit too much bling for me but others would not agree... Just get to work on thewt FZ6R now and see what you can do with it

    • When I got my FZ6R my wifes Kawasaki GPX250 could keep up with it easily,,, The reason I bought the FZ6R was because I had been off bikes for many years, so I didnt want anything too powerfull to start with. However I did research to find out the easiest bike to unrestrict, hence the FZ6R... Jeff, if you have a full US licence it will be transfered to an AU one, no plates needed
