So of course the Fz6r that I own is a trooper but she needs some TLC with how I treat her this past time I was home my entire exhaust was loose and the throttle started sticking and slowly easing back down to hold at 2-3k RPMS.

I tightened the exhaust bolts and hangars back so that's good now.

Any thoughts/ most commonly worn out throttle parts that y'all can guess off the top of your head that causes throttle stick-age?

Doesn't snap back closed like it use to last time I was home now it kinda just slowly boops closed lol.

  • Lube the cables?

  • I second the cables. Aside from that, might be a problem with your grip actually.

  • I appreciate it boys still got another 26 days before I'm home but I like to Preplan and order and parts before I get home limited time on land

  • Check your grips.. mine actually started sticking when i replaced my bars after a minor tip over.

  • Check the free play of the accel grip, I like it with no free play at all, so when tensioned cable the accel get hard and tends to get stuck or returnig really slow, otherwise lube cables, take out accel grip, clean and lube it too.
