This question is abit off topic and not the right bike for the group but il see if anyone knows..I have a Yamaha R3 battery is a 12v...7ah its toast need a new one. I'm looking at batteries and found a 12v.."6ah"..Now would this work considering the AH is lower? the Manuel suggests a 12v 7ah but there's a good deal on this 6.. and have nobody else to ask. Thanks

Because it's been awhile since I stirr'd the pot... Here's some amusement.

Guy gets a going double the speed limit ticket in the local bike pages with an older fz6r the model with both headlights, then talks about evading the police. This ensues.

Don't think about being a squid on this bike guys it doesn't have the balls for it other than wheelies.... Adrian Sterlo Watson what's the fastest you've been on your fz6r? Cause his looks stock other than exhaust

To any one that decides not to wear gear hopefully this may open your eyes... I exceeded what my Q3's could take and lowsided while dragging knee in a sweeping right at over 100MPH recently.

Scarred up the gear, lost a toe slider on my Supertech R's, put a hole in my leather pants where my ass was and damaged the bike cosmetically, but walked away free and unscathed.

per a control rider that witnessed me out there... it's not often a riders abilities exceed the bikes.... Shitty situation I had occurred but a silver lining is that now I know I have the capability in myself to go competitive.

Keep an eye out peeps #993 is on the rise.

          Hello I'm from Indonesia

          .

We made racing exhaust here for many bikes from stainless steel material

          .

          The Brand is HRS RACING

          .

ZX-14R Twin muffler is ready now. So grab it

          PM me for Price

          .

We guarantee that our product is good quality (see on this picture) and price is cheaper as much than yoshimura, akrapovic, arrow and other branded exhaust system

          .

But so sorry we don't produce for any full system sport bike exhaust.

          .

But if you want just slip on only, we have 2inch and 2,5inch diameter of inlet.

          .

We also made custom exhaust you want too

          .

If you have some question just

          PM or

          Whatsapp +6289604411411

For my guys that were following the post I made referring to the black widow systems I found for cheap!! Also here is an email I received from the company.

                  Hi Cody,

We have been making bike exhausts for over ten years.

Please see an independent Youtube review by spicy110 for a video of our FZ6R exhaust system.

Search For spicy110 fz6r black widow

                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rTWEOEjG7o

He has an FZ6R but Yamaha called it the XJ6 here in the UK as I am sure you are aware.

He has posted 3 videos now and loves the system he has.

Please see our website to see the entire range of exhausts we make, we now make over 300 different exhaust systems.

Also see our Facebook page blackwidowexhausts to see our owners reviews and photos.

If you search Youtube for Black Widow Exhausts motorcycle you will also be able to see videos from owners of other models.

Our FZ-07 system has been very well received in the US, it is called the MT-07 here.

You can also find our shop on Ebay, blackwidowexhausts it has over 24000 reviews from owners of our exhausts.

We ship to the US every day with 5-7 days delivery time, we use UPS or Fedex.

It is worth noting that UK websites include our 20% sales tax, select the exhaust you like, then add to cart, then click estimate the delivery cost.

You will then be see the cost to be delivered to you in the US with our 20% tax removed. US customers do not pay our sales Tax.

You will find that you will be able to buy our FZ6R exhaust and have it delivered for less than a customer here in England.

Please be sure to post any helpful information from this email on any forums or even post a video on Youtube once you fit your Black Widow exhaust.

We offer a two year warranty on our complete exhaust system and will ship and warranty parts at our expense.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.

Hi guys — Yamaha FZ6R Owners

                    Hi guys

I need a map for my power commander..

I am in perth australia and looking for someone thats dynotuned there bike .

If you have this on your bike -

                    Two bros full exhaust

                    K&n filter

                    Block off plates

                    Power commander 5

                    And have a 2014 fz6r.

I have downloaded the maps however was thinking if someone has already dynoed there bike, and has what i have in my bike, then their map should work pretty close.

I want a race type map and also an economical map.

I know i can spend the money and dyno tune it but i thought i might try on here first

So my HID headlight has stopped working. The lightbulb does not come on at all — Yamaha FZ6R Owners

So my HID headlight has stopped working. The lightbulb does not come on at all. The shutter inside for the hi/low beams sounds like its working still and the halo still works. I did an overview on all the wiring and I didn't see chaffing on any part of the wiring. I took the bulb out and it looks okay, though I'm not 100% sure what its supposed to look like after its been used. It worked on the ride into work, then when I left it didn't work anymore. It did not rain or anything as far as I know (maybe morning dew as my seat was a bit wet from that) and I was only there for a few hours.

I'm thinking it could be the ballast but I'm not sure what would cause it to fail, its horizontal to the ground so no water should be sitting in the connectors.

Does anyone know how to further troubleshoot this? I thought about maybe a multimeter on the igniter but I don't know what the outputs should be.

Hey guys, recently had someone pull out infront of me which has obviously done some damage to my FZ :(

Looking at possibly getting it repaired. How much is it roughly (AUS) to buy a complete front end.

Considering making it a naked or if possible maybe R6 reversed forks.. any pointers would be great!

Think it's time to let go, brothers and sisters. This is therealMistahT from youtube and the forum, no doubt most of you have seen some of my how-to videos and exhaust comparisons. You'll know this is one of the most meticulously maintained and loved FZ6R you'll ever come across.

2012, only owner, 11k miles with brand new pricey Pilot Road 4 tires at 10k. Gen one Marthy Viper exhaust handmade by the man himself (with a spare Two Brothers can and different silencers), Power Commander, Givi metal support bracket with 2 hard bags, all lights are LED, headlight retrofit, ZX6R mirrors, new windshield, battery tender, usb hookup, etc. Also have some steel braided brakes lines that aren't installed I got for Christmas. Only con would be a tiny blemish on the side of the passenger seat, but I have a cowl to replace the seat with if you ride solo.

It's factory black and red Raven, but you might have seen it in orange or blue plastidip (dipped well, not half assed). Everything in the DC, Maryland, Virignia area seems to cost more than the rest of the country, but I think $4,000 is a very competitive price, especially with a ton of gear I can include (5 jackets, 3 pants, 2 sets of boots, MANY gloves, tanks bags, etc).

Let me know if you think the price is off, you're interested, or know someone who is. Bike is perfect, needs nothing but a new rider

So I dropped my HjC helmet last time I was home and the visor cam lock broke in need of a new helmet, all I've worn in HJC I like a tight fitting helmet size XS.

But I can't seem to find a good helmet made by Shoei, Arai, or AGV that matches my leathers and the bike that I have would love if some of my Moto fam helped me out been searching for a helmet for months and it's time to pull a trigger.

I have black and white A* leather, and a black/orange bike that I'll be getting same color scheme track fairings eventually!

Hi all I just got a two brothers full exhaust system for my fz6r. Can I fit it on my bike without putting a power Commander on it. I also have the smog delete blank offs and also want to know if I can fit that as well. I'm pretty sure my stock exhaust has an oxygen sensor on it however the two brothers exhaust doesn't have a hole for that to go. The bike shop said that I can just disconnect the oxygen sensor until I get a power commander

So. noob question — Yamaha FZ6R Owners

                                    So...noob question..

How do you guys up-shift your fz6r's?

Clutch from first to second and clutchless through the rest? Or do y'all clutch them all?

I can do either fluidly but I'm getting mixed opinions on if it's bad for the bike to go clutchless.

Hey all — Yamaha FZ6R Owners

                                      Hey all,

New to the group here. I personally ride an fz09 but recently picked up a 2009 fz6r for the wife and am having an issue with it. The throttle started to get sticky after only having put 30 miles on it after purchase. Bike has 4,800 miles total on it. It sat for a little over a year in a carport. I cleaned and lubed the throttle cables and it seemed fixed.....2 days go by and the throttle is even worse now and the butterfly on the TB's is stiff and hard to move even by hand I struggle to move it. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? Shop says I may need a whole new throttle body (1,480$).

Hey guys, got my jacket in..Joe rocket.

Was wondering how y'alls fit. It's sopposed to be snug right? And the arms a tad short? How about length of the jacket to the waist? Seems a lil short in the arms and in the length to my waist but I don't guess I want it baggy right?

I used the measurement chart on the website and it says I need a large which is what I got..

Thought my 2015 FZ6R looked pretty good with new side bags and trunk. I know, I know ... it's not a touring bike exactly, but the Givi top case bracket and side case panniers are pretty lightweight and I adapted them to some basic bags that are lightweight. I think the greatest impact is in aerodynamics ... which I'm guessing probably cost me 2-3 MPH off my top end speed. But she still makes 132 MPH (I weigh 210 so I think that is still a pretty good top end). Most importantly, she still handles like a track bike. Still extremely nimble.

PSA, just wanted to let you guys know my experience with heroic racing apparel. I'd advise NOT to buy anything from this company or the owner Todd Mcnabey, I was in the market for some track gear and ordered a pair of his gloves from him, I wanted all black that most manufacturers offer standard as an option, with him it's even more expensive and labeled "custom", I paid him thank god through PayPal 370$ for a pair of track gloves that A* or Dianesse are actually slightly cheaper for their top model. Anyways I "bought these" June 21st still haven't received them, multiple texts throughout the entire time getting a response was like pulling teeth from the man, or I'd get ignored with no response.

So I finally had enough Oct 3rd I sent a claim into PayPal and as a curtesy notified him as well I wanted a refund, he said he'd honor it and there wasn't another word from the man, just got notified and contacted PayPal today he shipped them on the 6th and didn't update until last night.

Amazing how after months the second I wanted a refund they were immediately ready!

He's now trying to shove his product down my throat now that I don't want it by flying under the radar and waiting to notify anyone, (PayPal,me,ect) problem here though is I'm now going to be out of town and won't be able to recover the product.

Told him that I won't be physically able to receive the product and he tells me if I return it to him if the product is "damaged" I won't get my refund.

So how does that sound to y'all? If it's damaged even though I won't be home for more than a month and won't have my hands on the package? Sketchy as shit or what? Did he send me half a glove, a box full of rocks? Lol this guy is insane! And has the audacity to tell me I never called him! I have months of texts asking about my order!

Beware all Moto friends! This guy is shady as hell! Feel free to share!

Sold my FZ6R awhile ago and found a few things lying around.

-Front cowl has damage on both sides mainly on the air rams. (I bought a new front cowl for my bike b4 i sold it, priced at $1000)

-Headlight has a crack in it.

-Everything else is in good condition.

You can probably reuse the front cowl, headlight u can probably use as a test piece if ur looking at doing a projector headlight mod and exhaust you can use as a test piece for a exhaust mod by cutting off the cat.

For everything i'm hoping to get $175. located in NSW 2176

Would like to sell everything in 1 transaction, rather than separating.

So she lives again. This is not an easy mod to do folks. I do not suggest it if you do not have friends that can help or a lot of beer. My decision to paint this shroud orange plus the halo(which I havent wired up yet, if anyone knows a good way to do that please let me know) really is what caused the most headache.

Im not a fabricator type nor do I have the time to sit there and do this in one go. But with a few more modifications, some creative mounting/wiring and lots of cleaning I should have this done soon.

When I stopped because I felt the burn and I was totally confused. The little bastard was still alive crawling around my body. On top of that a dime sized rock hit me in the throat a few minutes before I got stung.......time to drink some beer. Can today get any worse. If you can't tell that is the bee ahaha

Looking to sell my Marthy Custom exhaust. Brand new, never unwrapped and still in the box. Never had a chance to put it on the bike before I sold the bike. It welds on to the stock headers. Quick and easy weld job for any shop or DIY person. I have install instructions with it. No PCV needed since the a/f ratio will remain the same. Marthy made some great exhaust solutions for the fz and at the moment he isn't making them so you won't find another one for sale. Bought this for $350. I'm asking $300 obro and throwing in a pair of Driven Block Off Plates ($35 value) for free. Pay with PayPal or Facebook Pay. Shipping within the U.S.

I'll post a video of what it sounds like in the comments

                                                      Hi,

Appreciate the add. I don't have bike yet and have never ridden before, everyone wants me to get an R6 but I'm not really looking for a 'go-fast' bike rather than a good commute bike, I've been reading a lot of reviews on the two and hear that the FZ is a lot more comfortable and still has decent power.

Just wanted to see if I could get some opinions, pros/cons of the fz and convince myself to get one.

So just curious, one of the last few days I was home I went to run to the store late late at night within two minutes from my house and it was the first time in over a year that I had rode with out gear.... gloves/jacket.

Man the throttle felt sooooo much more sensitive without gloves it was strange like I felt nakeeeyyy lol. Letting the clutch out/throttle on was a little jerky and unnatural compared to when I had gloves on the following day... Just wanted to share this and curious if anybody ever have this feeling too not wearing gear after being a total gear junky? Pic for attention
